CC Simulation was proud to have been proactively engaged by Liverpool Hospital's ICU department to be involved from the earliest stages of planning for their new simulation lab. Drawing on our extensive experience in simulation-based education, we provided critical design input and post installation support to ensure the space was truly functional for clinical training.
From seemingly small but essential considerations like corridor and doorway widths (to allow patient bed movement), to control and debrief room layouts and workflows, CC Simulation helped shape a space that works.
For contractual reasons, the primary AV installation — cameras, microphones, and debrief room equipment — was carried out by a third-party contractor. Our knowledge of simulation environments allowed us to collaborate effectively with these third parties and the hospital to ensure technical and training needs were met.
We then installed and configured Viso by Noldus as the debriefing system, taking full advantage of its flexibility to tailor it to Liverpool ICU’s specific requirements. Post AV installation, we integrated SimMan into the AV system ensuring seamless operation between hardware, software, and clinical practice.
