CC simulation was engaged by TAFE NSW and Laerdal Australia to design and install an AV system to allow recording and observation of 12 bed spaces across 3 training rooms. 

 

Early consultation with TAFE NSW allowed CC Simulation to incorporate AV cabling during the construction phase of the nursing labs.  This saved a lot of time and potential damage to the new build when compared to running cables post construction.

The control room has 2 independent workspaces which can record, live stream and observe any of the 12 bed spaces.  Each workspace can make announcements into one, or many, of the bed spaces. 

TAFE Kingswood nursing labs:

Bed Spaces

  • 12 Bed spaces across 3 training rooms
  • 2 high fidelity bedspaces
  • 2 cameras per bedspace
  • 1 microphone per bed space
  • 1 patient monitor per bedspace

 

Control Room

  • 2 facilitator workspaces
  • 2 recording / debrief servers (1 per workspace)
  • The facilitator and the servers can observe any of the 12 bed spaces
  • Headphones and desk microphone for 2-way audio into selected bed space
